We don't do all our learning in a classroom - Life is a field trip! If you're an educator or homeschooler, consider organizing a field trip that will inspire compassion.

Although there are many problems in the world, we believe all children's educational materials and experiences should be, for the most part, pleasant and solution-oriented. Therefore, if you have an opportunity to schedule a field trip that has a negative connotation, such as an animal control facility, it's a good idea to follow it up with a look at some solutions, such as an animal rescue organization. For homeschool groups (who have more flexibility in who goes to various events) you may wish to offer parents of especially young or sensitive children the option of skipping the first part of the field trip and coming only to the solution-oriented part afterward.

Below is a list of ideas for possible compassion-inspiring field trips. If you're interested in starting a local chapter of Compassionate Kids and organizing field trips in your area, please let us know.
