Other than giving out lots of free Cultural Appreciation
Crossword Puzzles (see
Activities page), I had imagined that our booth
at the Juneteenth Festival would be much like the booth we
had at the
Earth Day Festival. However, my eight-year-old
daughter had a great idea to make jewelry to sell as a
fundraiser for the local food pantry. We invited all the
kids at the festival to help make jewelry to donate. The
donations totaled just over $10, but the experience and
camaraderie were invaluable! |
