The authorities are indicating that the best way to help the relief efforts for Hurricane Katrina affected areas is to donate money to the relief organizations. Consequently, Compassionate Kids is initiating fundraising efforts for all Compassionate Kids chapters throughout the country.

Compassionate Kids group leaders and members throughout the United States will be setting up a "Disaster Relief Flea Market Fundraisers" with all sales going to official disaster relief organizations.

Members are strongly encourage to set up these events in their areas, so they will take place in various locations throughout each state. This will also help limit individual's drive times (and gas purchases). Some may choose to have the events at local flea market locations, while others may choose to simply have yard sales at home.

ALL proceeds must benefit any one of the FEMA recommended charities at right.

Once an event is planned, individuals may choose to promote the event locally, on Compassionate Kids message boards (available to members only) or on this website by sending a notice to [This event is past--no additional RSVPs accepted.]
