Mayfling Arts & Crafts FestivalThe Georgia Chapter of Compassionate Kids® will have a booth at the Mayfling Arts & Crafts Festival at Griffin City Park the weekend of April 28 and 29, 2007. There will be two crafts projects taking place to help animals:

"Operation Happy Sock" involves stuffing clean socks* full of catnip for the enjoyment of our feline friends. At the end of the two-day festival, all the catnip-filled socks will be donated to local animal shelters. There is no charge to participate in this activity.

*We would like to thank the Sock Shoppe and Park Pet Supply for sponsoring this event by donating the socks and catnip for this activity.

"Treats for Tweeters" involves making homemade birdfeeders out of natural materials. For a $1 donation to Compassionate Kids, each participant may create and take home a birdfeeder.
