MOVIE SYNOPSIS:
The movie, “Food Inc,” is a documentary about the
industrialization of the food industry. The movie shows how the
nation's food supply is now controlled by a handful of
corporations that often put profit ahead of consumer health, the
livelihood of the American farmer, the safety of workers, and
the welfare of the environment. The movie features bestselling
authors Michael Pollan (“In Defense of Food” and “The Omnivore’s
Dilemma”) and Eric Schlosser (“Fast Food Nation”). The movie may
inspire consumers to plant a garden, buy locally, and eat
organic.
