This event is past.
The
first official event of the Pennsylvania chapter of
Compassionate Kids will be on Wednesday June 22nd at 1:00 pm at
York Township Park Oak St. York, PA.
Codorus Creek Improvement Partnership will be coming
to teach about pollution and conservation. They will have a talk
and then take the kids to the stream. They will identify
macroinvertabrates and look at them under a magnifying glass and
talk about how you can tell if a creek is clean by which ones
are in the water. This is going to be very fun and educational.
They are bringing packets for the children with crosswords, and
other information. They have different packets for different age
groups. They are bringing everything we need, but you may want
to bring extra magnifying glasses; they do not have many of
those. Also bring creek shoes.
Please RSVP via email to
pennsylvania@compassionatekids.com.
